Hard Maple
Acer saccharum -A creamy white hardwood with a reddish tinge. The texture of the wood is fine and even. The wood has an average weight of 45 pounds per cubic foot. The average weights for the different sizes are as follows; Small-6.0oz., Medium-8.0oz., Large-13oz.
Figured Hard Maple
Same information as for Hard Maple. A "curly" grain pattern is evident in this particular stock.
Bubinga
Guibourtia demeusei- A medium red-brown hardwood with lighter red to purple veining. The texture is moderately coarse but even. The average weight is 55 pounds per cubic foot.
Cocobolo
Dalbergia retusa- A heavy, tough, strong hardwood that has a variegated appearance of yellow, orange, black and red that mellows to an orange-red with exposure. The grain is irregular and variable, but has a fine uniform texture. The average weight is 68 pounds per cubic foot.
Verawood
Bulnesia sarmienti-A very heavy,waxy,dense hardwood related to Lignum Vitae. The wood has a greenish-brown color once oxidized. It is quite resinous and turns wonderfully.
